Tell us a little about your business. – T Square Movers (TSquareMovers.com) is a family-owned moving company that has served Lincoln and the surrounding communities since 2016. We started with a simple goal: do things the right way in an industry that often gets a bad reputation. The business has grown from labor-only moves into a full-service operation. We prioritize care, communication, and respect for both our customers and team. Today, T Square Movers is known as the sober moving company. Being 100% woman-owned is something I’m proud of, especially in a labor-intensive industry where leadership doesn’t always look like me.
How did you get started in the business? – Like many small businesses, T Square Movers started at our kitchen table. What began as a practical idea quickly became something bigger once we saw how much people appreciated honesty and reliability while moving.
What is the biggest challenge you’ve faced professionally? – Learning how to grow responsibly. One of my biggest challenges has been protecting our culture while expanding. Hiring the right people, setting expectations and boundaries is essential, even when it slowed growth in the short term.
What has been your most important achievement professionally? – Building a company people trust and becoming a household name. When customers refer us years later, or employees stay and grow with us, it matters more than revenue. I’m also proud to co-own Save Nebraska Local, an organization focused on supporting small businesses through connection, education, and accessible resources.
Tell us a little about your family. – Family is at the center of everything I do. My husband and I have built businesses together while raising our kids, navigating challenges that required resilience and teamwork. There were seasons where family life and business life overlapped heavily, and those experiences shaped how I lead today.
What is your favorite things to do on your day off? – I love doing all things girly: nails, hair, makeup and shopping. I love being around animals (we have 3 dogs), my friends and my family.
What is the most unique or interesting thing about you that most don’t know? – I almost died twice. I did an 18 month cellular detox with my husband and have lost over 110lb and maintained it since 2023. I spent a lot of time learning under a well known doctor, who shaped my ability to take a proactive approach to my health.
Who inspires you? – I’m inspired by people who lead quietly and consistently. Those who take responsibility, stay grounded, and help others succeed without needing recognition.
What is your favorite quote or best piece of advice you’ve received? – “Do the right thing, even when it’s hard. Even when no one is watching.”
If you had a theme song, what would it be? – “Rise Up” – Andra Day.
What is your greatest talent that you don’t utilize in your daily work life? – The talent I’m under-using is my ability to translate complex emotional or human situations into language that makes people feel safe and clear at the same time.
What local nonprofit organizations are you passionate about? – We support organizations that serve families, children, and basic needs in our community. Giving back locally isn’t optional for us, its part of doing business responsibly. Last year we gave back to or volunteered for 13 different nonprofits in our community.
