Meet Brandon Ford, store manager at CBD American Shaman.

Tell us a little about your business.CBD American Shaman (www.cbdoflincoln.com) is known for setting the standard in the hemp industry and continues to make strides to further the understanding of how hemp and its different cannabinoids work in our body. We want customers to have the knowledge needed in making the right choice. All stores have hemp certified individuals and sample almost everything. This makes shopping a fun experience and caters to fit each customer.

How did you get started in the business? – I have always had a passion for hemp and how cannabinoids work in the body, along with addressing the difference between marijuana and hemp. Hemp has less than 0.3% of THC, meaning hemp-derived products don’t contain enough THC to get someone “high” like you’d experience with marijuana. CBD is made from a cannabis compound called cannabidiol (CBD) that is found in all cannabis plants. This compound interacts with our body through the endocannabinoid system, which is the system that regulates the bodies normal homeostasis. As the environment around us affects our body’s normal state of balance, the endocannabinoid system keeps our bodies leveled.
