Growing up with a father who has been an orthodontist for over 30 years, Andrew Glenn has been familiar with the business since a kid and it was a natural for him to go into the same industry.  He attended the University of Missouri-Kansas City where he received an MD in 2003 and completed his general surgery internship at Truman Medical Center in 2004.  Dr. Andrew Glenn has been trained in a wide variety of contemporary Oral and Maxillofacial Surgical procedures, including sedation and general anesthesia, dentoalveolar surgery, dental implants and bone grafting, corrective jaw surgery, head and neck cancer surgery, facial cosmetic surgery, cleft lip and palate surgery, and management of facial trauma.  He is involved in numerous professional local, state, as well as national dental and medical societies. He works part time in the Oral Surgery department at the dental school in Lincoln, and regularly attends scientific and educational meetings in his field.

What has been your most important achievement professionally?
Just being confident with patients and learning how to put an apprehensive patient at ease.

Tell us a little about your family.
My wife Sydney and I have been married going on 18 years.  We have four girls, ages 15, 13, 11 and 9.

What do you see as one of the biggest turning points in your life?
The Red Sox winning the 2004 World Series, hands down.

What is your favorite thing to do on a day off?
A good book and an orange gin and tonic.

What is the most unique or interesting thing about you that most people probably don’t know?
I can speak backwards fluently.

What are you the most proud of?
My girls…all five of them.

What is the best piece of advice you’ve ever received?
“You’re standing too close to the ball.”  I had a golf lesson two weeks ago and it fixed my swing in five minutes.

What is the one goal you would most like to accomplish?
Seeing my children grow up to be happy and competent.

How would your friends describe you?
Socially awkward but fun once you get to know him.

What is your greatest talent that you don’t utilize in your daily work life?
Right now I’d say cooking, but ask again next year, it will probably be different.

Which talent would you most like to have?
Invisibility.

If you could change one thing about yourself, what would it be?
I’m told I can be impatient at times…
