Tell us a little about your business.

As a company, we are committed to cutting-edge products and transparency. We provide people with premium lifestyle products such as our Synergy line of hemp-derived CBD products, CBD-infused skincare and anti-aging serums, Vitality Plus designed for maximum energy, natural weight management products, and much more.

How did you get started in the business?

EMRIS was originally founded in January 2019 by my long-time friend Aspen Emry and her husband Brent, along with another couple, Ilean and Matthew Harris. Aspen lived in Firth, NE when she launched the company. I’ve been on board since day one, and it’s been fun watching everything develop and grow.

What is the biggest challenge you’ve faced professionally?

Overcoming the stigma around the network-marketing and direct-sales model. People are reluctant because they feel like they are signing up for monthly auto shipments (which we don’t do) or getting a more expensive product—which isn’t the case because we essentially cut out the middle man. Instead of purchasing products off of a shelf, our brand ambassadors can get high-quality products to you at an affordable price.

What has been your most important achievement professionally?

Before we even had our soft launch with actual products, I had already reached Third Star Executive status within the company, just from selling distributorships.

Tell us a little about your family.

My husband Kelly and I have three kids—two boys and a girl. They are involved in a lot of sports, show choir, cheerleading, etc. at Norris High School. Kelly has been the superintendent at Hidden Valley Golf Course for 35 years.

What do you see as one of the biggest turning points in your life?

Hands down, having kids. It rid me of my selfish ways, expanded my capacity for love, and realigned my priorities.

What is your favorite thing to do on a day off?

Our family loves traveling and golfing…and pretty much any outdoor activity.

What is the most unique or interesting thing about you that most people probably don’t know?

I have a deep love for music. I am teaching myself how to play the guitar, and I love attending concerts.

Who inspires you?

My parents because of the example they set with their generosity.

What is your favorite quote or the best piece of advice you’ve ever received?

The Lord is my light and my salvation; whom shall I fear? (Psalm 27:1)

If you had a theme song, what would it be?

“A Wasted Life” by Tom Petty and The Heartbreakers.

Which talent would you most like to have?

I’ve been told that I should start my own YouTube channel or go live on Facebook/Instagram more. I wish I was more tech-savvy so I could feel confident about doing so!

What local nonprofit organization(s) are you passionate about or involved with, and are there any special reasons why?

Mourning Hope, Junior Achievement, Lincoln Literacy, CEDARS, and JDRF.

What is your favorite movie?

Top Gun.
