Tell us a little about your business.

I’m very excited and proud to be providing our community’s homeowners with Roof Maxx’s SoyFusion Technology. Roof Maxx’s revolutionary award-winning technology allows millions of micro-beads of all-natural oil to penetrate your old brittle roof. This process restores your roof’s flexibility and waterproofing protection preserving the life of your roof.

How did you get started in the business?

I’ve always been an entrepreneur, I was just looking for the right product and business model to get behind. I love that Roof Maxx really serves a purpose, and it’s an affordable alternative for homeowners. Plus, it’s green—backed by soybean farmers!

What is the biggest challenge you’ve faced professionally?

It’s happening right now. Getting Revolution Roof started at the same time as my real estate career with Nebraska Realty has been absolutely insane. As overwhelming as the grind can be, though, I wouldn’t have it any other way. I’m learning so much more on the software and technology side of things than ever before, which has been really great.

Tell us a little about your family.

Jamie and I raise our two kids Arastania (19) and Kash (4). I came into Ara’s life when she was 12 so it’s been a great experience watching her grow in so many ways. I feel so blessed to have had Kash at the age of 42. I always wanted to have a son, and now I get the chance to be the best dad I can be.

What do you see as one of the biggest turning points in your life?

Getting sober and reprioritizing my life completely. It was no secret what my struggles were, so they needed to be addressed with purpose. I decided to get educated in hopes to change the perception of my past choices and mistakes. Change takes time and doesn’t come easy, but I feel like I’m currently the best version of myself which is an incredible feeling moving forward.

What is your favorite thing to do on a day off?

Go fishing with my son.

Who inspires you?

I’m inspired by what the future holds! I’ve put a lot of effort into these businesses, my health, and my family. The plan is ahead of schedule and that’s exciting!

What is your favorite quote or the best piece of advice you’ve ever received?

Something both of my parents would say is, “You can always have a plan and then life happens.”

If you could choose only one descriptive word to be remembered as, what would it be?

Passionate.

What is your greatest talent that you don’t utilize in your daily work life?

Jamie would laugh at this because she does most of the cooking at home, but I’m not too bad in the kitchen!

If you could choose any other profession to be successful in, what would it be?

A pro bass fisherman.

What local nonprofit organization(s) are you passionate about or involved with, and are there any special reasons why?

I sit on the golf committee for the League of Human Dignity. Our mission is to promote the full integration of people with disabilities into society.

What is your favorite local restaurant?
