Due to a great photo booth experience as guests at a wedding, Michelle Fonck and her husband Thaddeus decided they wanted to bring the same high-quality experience to Lincoln and opened FOTObrations.  FOTObrations is a FOTObooth rental service that provides entertainment for your events. Their FOTObooth provides a way for you and your guests to have a blast, create a memory, and leave with a great keepsake of your special event.

What is the biggest challenge you’ve faced professionally?
As an overachiever, I struggle not to overbook myself. I need to leave time for household tasks, down time, and family time.

What has been your most important achievement professionally?
I have taught entrepreneurship for six years. My greatest accomplishment is putting all those lessons into action. I am a much better teacher because I am now an entrepreneur.

Tell us a little about your family.
My husband, Thaddeus Fonck, is not only a great help with FOTObrations, he is also a serial entrepreneur. He currently also operates a website – ToDoInThisTown.com.
My kids are also budding entrepreneurs. Our nine year old son and seven year old daughter are gearing up for their second business. They want to make money for our fall trip to Walt Disney World.

What do you see as one of the biggest turning points in your life?
Being selected to teach high school English at the Entrepreneurship Focus Program in 2005-2006. All of those experiences have led me to where and who I am today.

What is the most unique or interesting thing about you that most people probably don’t know?
I was on an airplane in the middle seat with a snoring old guy on the aisle once. Turned out it was Garrison Keillor on his way home to Minnesota. We talked about Women’s Literature which I was teaching at the time. I was totally dumbstruck by his intelligence, and my lack of it.

What is the best piece of advice you’ve ever received?
Action conquers fear, so just take the next step.

What is the one goal you would most like to accomplish?
Eventually, we would like to move to a larger home and be able to adopt a child or two.

How would your friends describe you?
Loud, opinionated, crazy, busy, sarcastic.

What is your greatest talent that you don’t utilize in your daily work life?
My wicked karaoke skills are far underused except in my car on the way to work each morning.

If you could change one thing about yourself, what would it be?
Hmmmm. . . maybe my indecisiveness. . . .

What is your favorite book or the last good book you read?
Orson Scott Card’s Ender’s Game is my all-time favorite science fiction book.

What is your favorite movie?
The American President with Annette Benning.

What is your favorite TV show?
Ha – there is no time for TV in an entrepreneurial family  we only have it for Husker Game Days and to play the Wii or watch Netflix.

What is your favorite Lincoln restaurant?
I most admire the local entrepreneurs who source their ingredients from as close to Lincoln as possible – such as The Bread & Cup, Pepe’s Bistro, or GUP Kitchen.

If you could have dinner with one famous person from the past or present, who would it be?
I would love to have dinner with Reba McIntire.

If our customers wanted to reach you, how would they do so?
