Tell us a little about your business. – We are Visiting Angels home care. We provide living assistance services for seniors who would like to age in place for as long as possible.
How did you get started in the business? – I was in education prior to working in healthcare.

What is the biggest challenge you’ve faced professionally? – The biggest challenge I have faced professionally has been COVID protocols. When I was teaching preschool COVID affected behaviors of the children and it was a challenge when they were in the classroom setting.

Tell us a little about your family. – My husband and I have a daughter Adalyn, who is almost three. We live here in Lincoln and love this community! I am the oldest of five children; one sister, three brothers and from that I have two nieces and seven nephews.

What is your favorite thing to do on a day off? – My perfect day off is filled with family time outdoors. We love the various farmer’s markets in town and seeing what is new with those vendors. I also love the thrill of the hunt with garage sales and getting my nails done with my mom and sisters.

Who inspires you? – My mom is my biggest inspiration. She raised my siblings and I on her own, overcoming hardships with grace. She is the strongest person I know.

What is your greatest talent that you don’t utilize in your daily work life? – I like to be creative in baking and cooking. If I see a dessert that I like I’ll try and recreate it in my own way.

What local nonprofit organization(s) are you passionate about or involved with, and are there any special reasons why? – Big Brother/Big Sisters – I was a volunteer in High School and College. Headstart – I started my career in teaching post-college with this organization.

What is your favorite local Lincoln restaurant? – Toast in Fallbrook

What has been your most important achievement professionally? – My most important achievement professionally would be setting clients up for success to stay home safely and independently.

If you could choose any other profession to be successful in, what would it be? – If I could choose any other profession to be successful in, it would be working with human trafficking victims. This is a huge issue in our country.

What do you see as one of the biggest turning points in your life? – The biggest turning point in my life would be deciding to go to college. I am the first one in my family to graduate from college so that is a huge success of mine!
