After an unforgettable 25th anniversary celebration, the 15/16 season launches the next era for the Lied Center for Performing Arts (LiedCenter.org). Building on the momentum of last season, this year the Lied will present some of the biggest Broadway and theater programs in decades.

The Lied Center’s Glenn Korff Broadway Series includes some of the most enduring and beloved shows of all time as well as the freshest titles, direct from New York. On Feb. 19-20, Flashdance, the Musical features a score that includes the biggest hit songs from the iconic 80s film like “Flashdance…What a Feeling,” and “I Love Rock ‘n Roll.” The Tony-winning musical Fela! radiates with phenomenal Afrobeat music and dancing on April 8 and the international dance phenomenon Riverdance returns to the Lied, just in time for St. Patrick’s Day on March 15-17.

The Lied’s 15/16 season also includes one of the most extensive lineups of dramatic theater in years including a bold new family musical that fearlessly takes on hunger in our own community, told through the eyes of a plucky 5th grader named Puddin’. Puddin’ and the Grumble plays March 10-13 and 18-20. On April 7-10, The Exonerated chronicles the gut wrenching true stories of six wrongfully convicted death row inmates under the artistic direction of Academy Award-winner Tim Robbins.

Tickets to the Lied Center for Performing Arts‘ 15/16 season are available at LiedCenter.org, by phone at (402) 472-4747, or in person at the Box Office located in Downtown Lincoln at 12th and Q Streets.
