The Rabbit Hole Bakery to Host Magical Mad Hatter’s Tea Party

The Rabbit Hole Bakery (TheRabbitHoleBakery.com), located in the Historic Haymarket at 800 Q St., invites Lincolnites to escape the madness of the everyday with a Twisted Tea Party on Friday, Oct. 6 from 6-8 p.m. The open house event celebrates National Mad Hatter Day and the bakery’s one-year anniversary of business.

The free, kid-friendly event will feature a Mad Hatter hat/costume contest, special Tea Party pastries and specials on signature cocktails. It coincides with National Mad Hatter Day, which marks the second crazy day of the year, falling six months after April Fools Day.

The Rabbit Hole Bakery celebrated one year of business on Sept. 17. Co-owned by Amanda Fuchser and Beau Ballard (son of James Arthur Vineyards’ owners Jim and Barb Ballard), the bakery takes inspiration from Lewis Carroll’s Alice Through the Looking Glass. It specializes in scratch-made wedding and special event cakes, cake by the slice, French macarons, cookies, scones, brownies and seasonal pastries. In addition to its sweet treats, The Rabbit Hole Bakery serves signature Alice In Wonderland-themed cocktails, liqueurs, cordials, beer and wine.

The Rabbit Hole Bakery is open Monday-Wednesday from 8 a.m.-6 p.m., Thursday-Saturday from 8 a.m.-10:00 p.m., and Sundays from 12 p.m.-6 p.m. For more information, visit TheRabbitHoleBakery.com or connect with the RabbitHole on Facebook, Twitter @therabbitholene, and Instagram @therabbitholebakeryne.
