Becky Hohensee, a licensed cosmetologist and Look Good Feel Better volunteer from Lincoln, NE, was recognized with the 2015 State Sunrise Award on October 14. Look Good Feel Better is a free national program dedicated to improving the lives of women undergoing cancer treatment by offering guidance and advice to help them cope with the appearance side effects of treatment. Look Good Feel Better presents the awards each year to volunteers who have made extraordinary contributions to the program and the lives of the women it serves.
Becky Hohensee has been a volunteer with the Look Good Feel Better program at the Southeast Nebraska Cancer Center for over 2 years. As a Look Good Feel Better volunteer workshop facilitator, she truly gives of herself, her knowledge, and her kindness to the women participating. She understands the information that she is communicating and ensures that the women feel encouraged and supported by the time they leave class.
