Horizon Physical Therapy Expands Offerings

Horizon Physical Therapy (www.horizonpt.net) is pleased to now offer Functional Dry Needling and Lymphedema Management Programs.

Shane Jansa received his Functional Dry Needling (FDN) certification from KinetaCore. KinetaCore’s FDN Course gives clinicians the tools to elevate their practice to a new level of patient care. FDN emphasizes the application of dry needling for the purpose of restoring function. Dry Needling involves inserting a tiny monofilament needling in a muscle to release shortened bands of muscle and decrease myofascial trigger points.

Tara Benes received training at the Academy of Lymphatic Studies in Complete Decongestive Therapy (CDT) to evaluate and treat lymphedema. CDT is the recognized standard of treatment for lymphedema and includes the following components: manual lymph drainage, compression therapy, decongestive exercise and skin care.
