MembersOwn Credit Union celebrated a groundbreaking ceremony at their new 33rd and A Street location on Tuesday, July 26th. The credit union, which is the 10th-largest in Nebraska with $80 million in assets, has plans for a new 6,500-square-foot building on the northwest corner of this popular intersection.

Anticipated to open mid-2012, this building will offer added convenience, accessibility including a 2-lane drive through and additional office space for future expansion.  Credit Union members are increasingly turning to MembersOwn as their primary financial institution and this shift has created a higher demand for conveniences such as the drive through and a greater variety of financial products.

In addition to the Lincoln and Beatrice locations, MembersOwn Credit Union customers have access to a statewide network of ATMs and credit union branch locations through a nationwide-shared branching agreement.  MembersOwn, which started in 1936 as the local telephone company employees’ credit union, has been in leased space at 1625 N Street since 1999.

More information on the new location, the shared branching locations and MembersOwn products and services can be found at www.MembersOwnCU.org.
