NBDC-Lincoln will present a series of workshops entitled Entrepreneurship Series on the last Friday of every month starting March and ending December, 2011.

These seminars are designed for the new business owners, including those in the startup / pre-launch phase; for existing business owners, for entrepreneurship educators, and/or for organizations involved with economic and community development.  Topics include business planning, basic accounting, legal entities, taxes, intellectual property, email marketing and business plan developing among others.  Experts in these different areas will be involved sharing their experience relating to the small business information presented.

The schedule includes Basic bookkeeping for small businesses (April 29th); Power of email marketing (May 27th); Choosing legal entities for your business (June 24th); Business planning: marketing plan (July 29th); Understanding Nebraska Sales Tax (Aug 26th); Learning about intellectual property (Sept. 30th); Seven things small business owners should know about the IRS (Oct. 28th) and Business planning: business plan (Dec. 2nd).

These seminars will be held at the Nebraska Union (14th and R Street) at the University of Nebraska – Lincoln and will run from 8:30 am to 9:45 am. The seminar cost is $10 per session (cash only at the door).
