4th Annual Mustache Ride to Benefit BackPack Program Set for July 30th

Again this year, Mustache Riders will hit the streets of Lincoln on their bikes to support a great cause. The 2016 Mustache Ride to be held on Saturday, July 30th is going to be bigger than ever in its fourth year—“Shave The Date” invitations have been sent out to all past participants, and along with sponsors and ride stops signing on, $4,000 has already been raised, nearly passing up last year’s final count of $4,100 donated! Through the Food Bank of Lincoln’s BackPack Program (www.lincolnfoodbank.org), which provides kids who may not have access to nutritious meals over the weekend a backpack full of food to take home from school on Fridays, these funds were able to feed 20 kids for the entire school year and one child for a semester.

Along with bicyclists and unicyclists, groups will also board a trolley and conference bike courtesy of Group Therapy Bike Tours. The pub crawl will end at the Railyard, where an after-party will include entertainment provided by DJ Romeo and a special video presentation on the Cube.

Over 150 bicyclists are expected to be in attendance this year, and if you’d like to be one of them, Like the Mustache Riders Facebook page to be added to the official event invitation list with directions to follow.
