Nebraska Recycling Council Announces Next Free Webinar

The Nebraska Recycling Council (NRC) (www.nrcne.org) will host a free webinar on Tuesday, May 8th from noon to 1:00 p.m.

Jennifer Tabanico, president of Action Research, will cover the basic principles of community-based social marketing as a behavior-based approach for developing effective recycling programs. The presentation will include information on why they focus on behavior, a discussion about information-intensive campaigns and why they are ineffective at fostering changes in behavior, an overview of the steps involved in community-based social marketing, and a series of case studies to illustrate the process and demonstrate its efficacy. Get registered online at register.gotowebinar.com/register/8321694826784111617.

Tabanico’s firm specializes in changing behavior for the public good by applying marketing and social science research to outreach programs that promote clean, healthy, and sustainable communities. She has a Master of Arts degree in Experimental Psychology from California State University and more than a decade of experience developing and implementing community-based social marketing programs for public and private agencies.
