New Corporate Games Tap Into Competitive Spirit in the Workplace

A new program offered by WorkWell and the Nebraska Sports Council (NSC) (www.nebraskasportscouncil.com) will reward companies for their employees’ participation in the Cornhusker State Games (July 15-24) and NSC Mud Run (August 20). The Nebraska Corporate Games is now open for registration at NeCorporateGames.com.

Traveling trophies and company plaques will be awarded in three divisions based on number of employees.  Besides total participation, awards will be offered for medal counts and representation in the most different events. The Nebraska Sports Council will track participation and host a leaderboard throughout the events.  Awards will be presented at the NSC Awards Banquet in October.

There is no cost for companies to register and compete, however the individual events each have an entry fee related to the cost of the competition.  The average entry fee in the Cornhusker State Games is around $30, and each participant receives a shirt and CSG Super Pass which includes a free meal and admission to the Opening Ceremonies on July 15.  The discount deadline for registration in the Cornhusker State Games is June 1.  The fee for the Mud Run is $35 until July 1, when the price increases $5.

Companies also have the option of subsidizing all or part of event entry fees.  Upon registration, companies receive a code for employees to use for registration.  The code allows for subsidies and tracking for awards.
