The Hope Venture’s Run for Hope Benefits 2K Students in India

On Saturday, April 7 at Pioneers Park in Lincoln, 231 runners participated in the 7th annual Run for Hope benefitting The Hope Venture’s (www.thehopeventure.org) backpack project. Roughly 2,000 students in India will receive backpacks with a year’s worth of school supplies because of the Run for Hope 5k/10k.

A backpack equips a student with the tools they need to get an education, which can increase their odds of escaping poverty. These 2,000 backpacks will be distributed to areas in need by The Hope Venture’s trusted partners in India.

The Hope Venture exists to bring help and hope to people around the world. Eight years ago, this mission began with the backpack project in India and has since expanded to about a dozen compassion-based projects emphasizing better education, health, clothing, and shelter for children, orphans and the needy poor in India, Kenya, and Uganda.
