Fresh Start has recently introduced its new Umbrella Ambassador Program, and Union Bank & Trust and West Gate Bank have become the first sponsors of this program and both donated $1,500. This amount is equivalent to the cost of all the services one homeless woman receives from the shelter for an entire month, covering everything from basic needs to the case management provided. Businesses that become Umbrella Ambassadors help Fresh Start provide shelter and support for homeless women working toward self-sufficiency.
Fresh Start is a transitional shelter that empowers homeless women to change their lives by recognizing and utilizing their strengths to overcome barriers to self-sufficiency. Fresh Start has served over 1,200 women in its 21-year history.
