Tell us a little about your business. – We work with architects, contractors, developers, and home owners.  From project consultation, design development, and CAD services to pre-finishing, installation, and warranty service, we can offer you as much or as little help as you desire on your project. Whether new construction, replacement projects, or historical renovations, each project is handled with the same dedication to excellence.

How did you get started in the business? – A friend from college working in the building materials industry recruited me into the business.  In the past 10 years I have worked in Lumber and Building Materials Sales and have a well-rounded knowledge of all kinds of products for residential and commercial construction.  I enjoy the construction process and making dreams become reality for homeowner’s.

What is the biggest challenge you’ve faced professionally? – The modern-day version of the Great Depression hit the building industry hard from 2008-2010. I was just getting started in the industry and was transferred from Lincoln to Denver.  I had to work extremely hard to build our business during that time.

Tell us a little about your family. – My wonderful wife of 7 years, Laura, is an RN at Bryan Health and we have two children. Hannah (5) is in Kindergarten at Elmwood-Murdock and loves dance, gymnastics, tee ball, and playing princess.  Grant (3) enjoys playing farm and riding in tractors, combines, and trucks on our family’s farm.

What do you see as one of the biggest turning points in your life? – Having children was probably the biggest turning point in my life; they seem to put everything into perspective.

What is your favorite thing to do on a day off? – I enjoy working on my family’s farm east of Lincoln.  It is a nice break from the day to day grind and I get to show my kids how I grew up and instill some of the values of the farm into them at an early age.

If you had a theme song, what would it be? – “The Only Way I Know” by Jason Aldean.

What local non-profit organization(s) are you passionate about or involved with, and are there any special reasons why? – I am looking forward to getting my daughter started in 4-H with a bucket calf this year.  I was in 4-H as a kid and look forward to passing this down to my children.  I think that teaching our youth responsibility is very important and 4-H is a great way to do this.

What is your favorite book or the last good book you read? – Currently reading EntreLeadership by Dave Ramsey.

What is your favorite movie? – It’s a toss-up between Days of Thunder and Top Gun.

What is your favorite local restaurant? – HF Crave, I grew up with the owner and their burgers are awesome!

If you could have dinner with one famous person from the past or present, who would it be? – Donald Trump.
