This month, October 2015, marks the 20th anniversary of Legacy Retirement Communities (www.legacyretirement.com) serving Lincoln area seniors. To join in the celebration, community members, friends, employees, and residents are encouraged to take the “Legacy’s of Lincoln Challenge.”
Legacy Retirement Communities have chosen 20 landmarks throughout the city and are inviting you to visit these landmarks and take a selfie beside them — then post that photo to Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, or other social media networks using the hashtag: #LegacysofLincoln. To show their appreciation and extend the celebration, for each hashtag posted on social media, Legacy Retirement Communities will donate $5 to area non-profit organizations.
“This is a fun way to get several generations involved in the 20-year celebration. It also creates an opportunity to give back to the Lincoln community,” explains Greg Joyce, CEO. “We’ve selected a handful of memorable landmarks, but if you feel that we missed one of your favorites, please send us a photo of that one too! Lincoln has a rich heritage, and we’re simply proud to be part of it.”
