Legacy Retirement Communities Installs HUR Senso in Fitness Center

The Legacy Retirement Communities ( www.legacyretirement.com) wellness team has recently installed the HUR Senso (hurusa.com) platform in the Legacy Estates fitness center.

The HUR Senso is a scientifically-based, dual-tasking fall reduction and cognitive training platform designed to support independence. The think-and-move integrated equipment simultaneously improves physical and cognitive function through interactive motor training activities and virtual gaming. The platform sensors dynamically capture all of the vital data with easy to understand results that ensure improved cognitive and activity levels for all users.

Wellness Director Katie Johnson feels this resource allows both the fitness team and nurses to be proactive in the care they provide to residents through the HUR Senso assessments. Assessments will ideally identify fall risks early on in so that both teams can work together to provide individualized care for any resident who has identified the areas of improvement, ultimately decreasing the number of falls and injury over time.

Legacy Retirement Communities offers independent and assisted living at three locations: The Legacy at 5600 Pioneers Blvd.; Legacy Terrace at 5700 Fremont St.; and Legacy Estates at 7200 Van Dorn St. They also offer memory care at Legacy Arbors, 3777 N. 58th St.
