Legacy Retirement Communities Raises $15K for Nebraska Farm Bureau Foundation

At Legacy Retirement Communities’ (www.legacyretirement.com) annual fundraising dinner on June 4, residents and staff raised $15,000 to help Nebraska farmers and ranchers get back on their feet after the devastation our state experienced as a result of the flooding. By donating to the Nebraska Farm Bureau Foundation’s Disaster Relief Fund, all donations were able to stay local with 100% going directly to those effected. This cause was one that hit close to home for many residents, families, and staff, so the support was overwhelming.

According to Casey Jo Jansma, enrichment director for Legacy Retirement Communities and organizer of the fundraising dinner, their residents and employees always go above and beyond to help others.

“We have many former farmers and ranchers that live in our communities that felt the heartache, so they were very thankful for the opportunity to get the funds to those that were personally impacted,” said Jansma.
