Legacy Retirement Communities Adopts Resident Therapy Dog, Benny
There’s a new furry friend at Legacy Retirement Communities (www.LegacyRetirement.com), and his name is Benny! Benny comes from the Domesti-PUPS program and was adopted as a therapy dog in October 2021. The three-year-old golden doodle lives full-time at Legacy Arbors and has brought much love and joy to all of the residents, staff, and families that enter the community. He spends his day getting lots of belly rubs, walks, back scratches, and treats. Thanks to his training at Domesti-PUPS, Benny has caring instincts and is always ready to visit his residents who are having a rough day and need his company.
“We are so lucky to have Benny, and everyone is always so happy to see him and give him lots of love,” shared Renee Pickerel, executive director at Legacy Arbors. “We would like to give a big shout out to the staff at Legacy Arbors for helping Benny become such a great success with the residents.”
