In August, the Legacy Retirement Communities was proud to add two names to the list of honorees for the Jerry Joyce Living Legacy Award. Both ladies honored received $2500 towards their charity of choice.

At a special luncheon on August 28th, Betty Robinson was honored for her work as the volunteer coordinator for the ACS Road to Recovery program in Lincoln, matching volunteer drivers with patients who have no other way to get to lifesaving treatments, coordinating more than 5000 rides thus far.

Cheryl Peterson has been volunteering for Clinic with a Heart since 2003 and is involved in numerous outreach activities through St. Mark’s. A special commemorative Living Legacy Remembrance award was also given to the family of Andrea Johnson, who passed away in February of 2012.  Andrea was instrumental in helping create the Jerry Joyce Living Legacy Award from the beginning.
