When Ashely Pavlish was going to college for dance education, she needed a part-time job and had a friend who worked at Body Nouveaux and she insisted on her applying.  She got a job as a body wrap specialist and it didn’t take her long to fall in love with the day spa atmosphere.  When the opportunity came along to purchase Body Nouveaux, she decided she wanted to make the business her own and completed the purchase in October of 2009.  Since then, she has gone from just herself providing the body wraps and spray tanning, to being able to hire on other licensed employees who provide more services. They are now more of a full-service day spa and Ashley is proud to say hard work does pay off and she has been able to give Body Nouveaux a new look, new services, and a new experience for their clients

Tell us a little about your family.
My husband Jason and I have been together six years. We have two Yorkshire Terriers: Roxie and Baylie.  On September 18th we celebrated our one year wedding anniversary and we are expecting our first child in November.

What do you see as one of the biggest turning points in your life?
Expecting our first child.  What used to be important isn’t anymore, and my motivation and drive is even stronger.

What is your favorite thing to do on a day off?
I love, with a capitol L-O-V-E, being out at the lake boating with my family and friends.

What is the most unique or interesting thing about you that most people probably don’t know?
I have performed at the Kennedy Center twice, as well as taught a few dance classes at the National Taiwan University of Arts in New Taipei City, Taiwan.

What are you the most proud of?
Taking a risk and purchasing a business.  I have learned so much and am excited to continue on this journey.

What is the best piece of advice you’ve ever received?
To SLOW DOWN. Take moments out of each and every day and just enjoy what is around you, and be thankful for what you have.

What is the one goal you would most like to accomplish?
One of the things Jason told me just weeks into dating was that one of his lifelong dreams is to be a stay at home dad.  My goal is to work very hard to make Body Nouveaux Spa successful enough that he can stay at home with our kids.  Daddy Daycare anyone? j/k…

How would your friends describe you?
Polite, caring, bubbly, selfless, hard worker, and as some of my friends would say, a “tree hugger”.

What is your greatest talent that you don’t utilize in your daily work life?
Dance.  I would like to teach a class or two again, hopefully someday.

Which talent would you most like to have?
I would love to have a vision to do interior design.

If you could change one thing about yourself, what would it be?
I wish I was a better cook. Jason and I have a deal whoever cooks the other cleans up, and I’m getting tired of always cleaning. Ha!

What is your favorite movie?
Dumb and Dumber

What is your favorite TV show?
So You Think You Can Dance, Dexter, How I Met Your Mother and a new one Picker Sisters.

What is your favorite Lincoln restaurant?
I love Mexican Food!  (Chips and salsa are my weakness.) Love to go to La Paz.

If you could have dinner with one famous person from the past or present, who would it be?
Marilyn Monroe
